Tuesday, October 18th....."Here I am back in L'viv again" (wasn't that a great song by the Buckinghams?)

We arrived without incident to a very cold Ukraine after 10 hours of flying and an airport stop in Germany.  I should stress the "without incident" part because we left New York an hour late.  The explanation was that a passenger had checked luggage which was on the plane but the passenger never showed up.  The TSA procedure is to remove the luggage.  Somehow we arrived on time for our connection in Munich and by Noon we were in the L'viv airport converting money and Phyllis was on a quest for a SIM card for her 4G phone.  The Ukraine is still on 3G so Phyllis will be without phone as am I.

Our hotel is the same wonderful place it was last year.  Less than $80 per night for beautiful suite like rooms in an elegant old building.  See pictures.

We had dinner around the block at what is our favorite L'viv restaurant.  We actually sat next to some Canadian tourists and ended up talking to them when we should have been asleep. It's almost 9 pm here, almost 2 pm in Florida and I'm exhausted.  I almost forgot, it was 37 degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived, later it seemed even colder.  In the morning we'll be having the great breakfast here at the Swiss Hotel.  I describe it as the breakfast so elegant that you feel underdressed.
