Finally, after a lot of planning, excitement and anxiety or trip is underway.  

I left Fort Myers by 2PM and by 430PM I had located my Sister and was waiting for my luggage at the Newark airport.  We took a taxi to our hotel on the Upper West Side (only $105 with tip).  We had an italian dinner in the neighborhood and now we're exhausted and ready to sleep.  These entries should be more lucid beginning tomorrow when we do some exploring in New York City.
